The Blue Knights® is a non-profit fraternal orginazation consisting of active and retired law enforcement men & women who enjoy riding motorcycles. In the Spring of 1974, several law enforcement officers from the Bangor and Brewer Maine area met and formed a small, local motorcycle club. The rest, as they say, is history.
Soon, Blue Knight® chapters were being formed in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and beyond. With the addition of Canada, and later Australia, the Blue Knights® became an international organization. As of January 2012, we have 636 chapters and over 20,550 members. We currently have Chapters in 29 countries. They are Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, England, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Scotland, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, United States of America and Wales. We also have Members living in Iceland, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and the British Channel Islands.
For 2012, the Washington II Chapter of the Blue Knights® International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Inc, has 60 members. We live mostly in Western Washington, however we have members from throughout Washington and a few out of state. We support and encourage any local, state, or federal law enforcement officer who has a passion for motorcycling and a love of fellowship to contact us or any other local Blue Knight® chapters and join in the fun and fellowship of motorcycling.
The Blue Knights® is a family fraternity. Spouses and children often accompany our members to the various rides and functions. When travelling, local members can provide assistance, directions, and sometimes a place to stay. We are truely a family.
